Imo consent can be withdrawn at any moment for any reason.

Circumstances as described* could lead to rape. But that doesn't mean this particular charge as worked up by this Swedish prosecutor is valid.

My comment:
It's not just Interpol. The Swedish authorities themselves first took a request for information and made a charge of rape, then fired the first prosecutor, dropped the case, hired a new prosecutor, reopened the case, refused information to the defense, etc etc.

There's no reason to suppose a trial in Sweden on 'the rape cases themselves' would be fair, either.

And all our information about what really happened comes through the Swedish authorities, too. If the women make independent statements, still at this point they are subject to pressure by the authorities (cf Monica Lewinsky, Juanita Broderick).
