The Obama Administration's move to the right is about to give conservatives a victory they could not have anticipated, even under Bush. HUD, under Obama, submitted legislation called PETRA to Congress that would result in the privatization of all public housing in America.

As Alaska’s occasional governor, Palin actually took a rather populist position on how oil companies should be dealt with.

Palin said Obama received large contributions from BP in 2008.

A commenter at http://trueslant.com/level/2010/05/24/sarah-palin-has-more-oil-spill-credibility-than-you-think/ said that others had received almost as much -- but the commentor had to look at 11 years worth of contributions to get that figure.

Another commenter answered well:
You look at contributions from the past 11 years. Obama was a complete nobody in 1989, genius. Take a look at the 2008 only contributions, if you dare. Obama received around DOUBLE what John McCain did. You had to extrapolate 11 years to compare to Obama’s one year, and Obama STILL TOOK IN MORE MONEY than anyone else.
